Magnesium glycinate dihydrate is a highly bioavailable option and is typically well absorbed in the GI tract. It is often associated with the ‘calming effects’ seen with magnesium supplementation, and is used extensively to support sleep and mitigate sleep disrupting muscle cramping.
Magnesium glycinate chelate is magnesium ‘bound’ to the amino acid, glycine. When you combine magnesium with the amino acid glycine, it creates a more stable form of magnesium, allowing for easy transfer through the intestinal wall, which is the part of the digestive system where nutrients are absorbed.
Magnesium citrate, a combination of citric acid and magnesium, is one of the most well known forms of magnesium. Its inclusion in TRIPLE MAGNESIUM is due to its high bioavailability yet slower release time compared to forms of Magnesium glycinate. This allows for stability in absorption via the gastrointestinal tract.
